Why I Don’t Knit

This is the back of a poncho for Daughter. I started it in September. Five months ago (FIVE!!). Jess fixed it once. And I’m still working on it. But I have to hurry because she keeps growing faster than I can knit.

  1. Ummm, five months or not- looks fantastic! I can’t knit at all. I tried to knit a little monster one time from the “easy” section of a craft book- it was painfully ugly….looked nothing like the picture and my gosh made me realize knitting is not my cup of tea!

  2. Jess is right, she wouldn’t have worn in in Dec/Jan. It will be great for spring. It took me 6 mo to knit a super simple dress for E. The nice thing about knitting is you can put it down and come back to it when you’re ready. Also, I always knit at least a size above what the kids are wearing so the pressure of getting it done now doesn’t crack me.
